Honestly if you're going to use only one mod, use Interesting NPCs. You can tell they're a work of passion, with a unique voice and unique dialogue. Most of the time I can only tell a NPC is added by this mod because they're better than vanilla NPCs. I've met NPCs who've made me laugh really hard, some who're interesting, some who I hate, some who I want to follow me and some with great quests. What can I say about this mod? It's probably the best mod ever made imo. (I seriously had the most epic bandit fight ever, ending in an invisible bandit stabbing me in the back as I was about to finish off who I thought was the last bandit.) OBIS and Warzones both add difficulty and some truely epic fights, as well as tons of realism. Populated Skyrim Ledgendary edition does a good enough job of doing what Inconsequential NPCs does, but has extra features I like.

I use OBIS, Populated Skyrim Ledgendary Edition, Warzones and Interesting NPCS. But it's important to remember which of these you're running when considering what else to add. Most of these NPCs stay very close to home, and in most cases aren't all that interesting. Obviously most mods that add new locations (inns, shops, towns, etc.) add more NPCs. Immersive Patrols - adds a reasonable number of new travellers to the roads, of all different factions, they'll have appropriate battles and basically make the roads feel more alive without crowding them. However most of the NPCs are pretty ugly. If you have much bigger towns than vanilla this works with inconsequential, otherwise it's just too much and you should pick one. "Populated" series by erkeil - Original source, everything on nexus is just various merges of the original - lots and lots of new NPCs, all over the place depending on which modules you pick. If you want just more people to fill the world and you don't give a fuck what they have to say, if your'e the kind of person who wants to skip through dialogue as fast as possible or want NPCs to get to the point, this is not the mod for you.

If you want lots of new quests that are very lore friendly and kinda puzzling, it's good. And people to talk to! If you want to sit down in an inn and have a nice talk with your follower/drinking buddy while you wait for the rain to pass, this is the mod. But some stuff out of scope too - the guard in windhelm stopping argonian and khajiit travellers, the changes to the thalmor headquarters in solitude, not necessarily bad just read the description and know what you're getting into.ģDNPCs - lots and lots and lots of lore. Inconsequential NPCs - Lots of actually pretty well done, logical NPCs, with voice if needed or vanilla lines otherwise, stuff like more thanes, thalmor spies in solitude, more peasants walking around, family for people.
